Yorkie is an informal opportunity for blokes to meet, have a blether and do the odd activity. Anyone is welcome whether you have a connection with the church or not. We meet on either the first or last Saturday of the month (unless it's a Friday night 'curry' and 'movie' that is!). Bring yourself and friend next time.
For more information on Yorkie please contact Norrie Kristoffersen (0131 663 6992). |

This annual event takes place on the 2nd weekend of November in Belfast. It is an opportunity for all men to take part in fellowship/worship and the fact that the number of SJKP participants has nearly doubled from 15 to 26 in the last few years is testament to a truly inspirational weekend.
For more information on attending this please contact Drew Stewart (07749748478). For more information on the Mandate conference please visit their website by clicking here... |

Fourteen brave souls managed to navigate the Dalkeith wilderness and discovered the fabled "meeting of the waters". Saturday 27th Feb 2010
Its down by the river this weekend. Meet at main Gate to dalkeith Country Park half eight then grub up at the forge as soon as we get back. Would guess about 10 ish. Look forward to seeing any of the early birds there!
View Larger Map Tough conditions at this years tourney means lack of records brokenRugged terrain and near hurricane The tournament was won with an impressive 41 ish for the last man standing and the first man sitting, pictured reclining below, managed a whopping 60 plus. Well done Neil!! boolsWhat a fantastic day for hearing the thud of composition plastic bouncing off carefully nurtured turf. Many thanks to the groundsmen at Kings Park Bowling Green for the wonderful restoration job they will almost have completed since our recent visist. I think it was universally agreed that bowls was a bit of a success and enjoyed by all despite some protesting joints and muscles. It may be we will have to seek a new venue annually given the damage to the playing surface etc but I am sure there are enough greens in the county to let us get away with it for a while. Definately one to be added to the fixture list. 4th July
Ok guys........ I know you're all on holiday but right now its me and Eddie Sheret for the "King of Bowls Trophy". We are trying to keep it quiet from young Thomson Brown (cause he's a bit of a player we hear) but if you fancy a wee game o bools its 9 at the Forge followed by 10 at the bowling green behind the Church. You just need shoes without a heel (aye Drew that includes your stillettos) trainers are fine!! Let me know if you can make it.
